چکیده
Composite coatings or films with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) are typically utilized to offer superhydrophobic surfaces. However, the surfaces usually have limited durability, and require complicated fabrication methods. Herein, we report successful integration of PTFE ZnO ceramic achieve superhydrophobicity via one-step sintering method, cold process (CSP), at 300 °C. (1-x) ZnO–x PTFE composites x ranging from 0 70 vol% densified relative densities over 97%. Micro/nano-scale polymer is dispersed among grains forming grain boundary phases, which modulates surface morphology energy ZnO–PTFE composites. For 60 ZnO–40 composite, properties optimized static water contact angles (WCA) sliding (SA) 162o 7o, respectively. After abrading into various thickness (2.52 mm, 2.26 mm 1.99 mm) contaminating graphite powder on surface, WCA SA still maintained a high level 157-160o 7-9.3o, This work indicates that CSP provides promising pathway integrate realize stable superhydrophobicity.

Cold Sintering Process: New sintering technique for fabrication of nano-structured ceramics below 300 °C - A review
Due to the conventional understanding of sintering phenomenon in ceramic materials, considering two words of “cold” and “sintering” together may arise a doubt to a ceramic engineer since the usual sintering process has been accompanied by a heating regime at elevated temperatures. Recently, a new technique called Cold Sintering Process (CSP) has been introduced and developed as an ultra-low tem...

This study examines the effects of different ZrB2 content on various mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of ZrB2/Y-TZP composite. Composites with ZrB2 content of up to 20 wt-% were particularly beneficial at the lower sintering temperature range by achieving greater densification and better hardness than Y-TZP monolith. In contrast to the trends estimated from rule of mixture, the...

Addition of TiO2 to a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) particle-dispersed composite contributes to the self-cleaning properties of the water-repellent composite. However, its application is limited to outdoor usage or under ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. In this study, a novel visible-light-sensitive photocatalytic and superhydrophobic material was developed by adding Cu/WO3 to a PTFE particulate ...
متن کاملOne-step fabrication process of superhydrophobic green coatings
In general, creation of superhydrophobic surfaces is composed of two steps: (i) creation of a rough surface and (ii) passivation of the surface with the low surface energy molecules or coatings. Superhydrophobic properties cannot be achieved on a surface without these two essential factors fulfilled. In the present work we have demonstrated that superhydrophobic silver films on copper (Cu) subs...
